Meat Eaters

 Meat Eaters
Subjects that manifest themselves in two opposing attributes often appear in my work. Meat illustrates a particularly difficult dichotomy.  Although, at first it seems immoral for the life of an animal to be sacrificed for the life of another, it is completely necessary for the existence of carnivores. Humans, like all omnivores choose to eat meat because it is satisfactory and full of great sustenance. We love to eat meat, but some are often repulsed by the act. Today we are cut off from the process of procuring meat. Like other meat-eating animals we keep in captivity, we have no need to hunt or kill our own meat. Meat Eaters explores the relationship between meat and meat eaters. It means to draw attention to the similarities between us and our captive meat eaters. The artificially of their experience is prevalent. These animals shown in their man made environments work to attract and repulse as you view them right before, during, or after the act of devouring meat.
